If you’re thinking about buying a pair of hiking shoes on your adventures, I highly recommend the Merrell Accentor or any of the all trail stretch shoes that they offer at REI or on Amazon. Links below and a full product review and video blog on why you should stop wearing your nice leather boots or running shoes that are not built to handle all terrain.

I’ve been thinking about buying a pair of new hiking shoes since I’ve been more actively exploring trails in the San Francisco Bay Area region. I have been constantly scratching up and damaging my expensive boots and decided it was time to buy some real hiking shoes.
I love the Merrell Accentor Stretch Shoes! When I first put them on I was amazed. They were light, had a ton of foot support and lot of ventilation. My feet are able to expand with the stretch material. When I first used them on Rock Spring Trail to Trojan Point they hugged the slippery rocks and gave me lots of traction to mow through easily.
